
FirstGroup plc‘s Rail division operates several service providers, each with an associated mobile app:
The apps are branded to each service provider and are functionally equivalent – with some tweaks to feature configurations here and there. Each app enables users to plan journeys, buy tickets and manage their account. A single code case is used to produce those app variants – all connected to the same back end data systems.
I have provided ongoing support and maintenance for several version releases of the project – and implemented various new features including Apple Pay and PayPal payments, and representation of live capacity data for train station carparks.
